3rd Annual Barn Party/Fundraiser at Moonshadow Ranch home of Special Spirit

The board members of Special Spirit wish to extend to you our heartfelt thanks for supporting our third annual Barn Party Fundraiser. Your generous donations helped make the evening a tremendous success. We also like to thank and show our appreciation for all our volunteers who did a terrific job helping prepare this event. The BBQ was one of our best ever. The Silent Auction was a big winner again this year, we received so may wonderful items.
Special Spirit is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization supporting therapeutic horseback riding for individuals with physical, mental and emotional disabilities and increasing community awareness about autism. With the generous support of businesses and people like you, we will be able to help many of these families and individuals not only to meet essential daily needs, but to work toward a brighter future as therapeutic riding has proved to be beneficial to so many individuals. Increased core strength, a heightened sense of self-esteem, and the simple act of bonding with the horse are just a few examples of the change that occurs in so many of our riders.
Proceeds from this event are essential to the housing, feeding and keeping of our team members the horses. Monies collected also buy educational and safety equipment and allow our riders to participate in local horse show exhibitions such as the Kiwanis Equestrian Competition for Special Athletes at Hansen Dam September 26, 2010. Thanks to your contribution all of Special Spirits’ riders will be participating this year. Proceeds from the Margarita and Wine bars will again be donated by Special Spirit in the form of a $500 Barney McGeary Riding Scholarship to one rider at the competition.
