Special Spirit Riders
Special Spirit Riders regularly participate in horse shows and the annual Kiwanis Equestrian Competition for Special Athletes, which is held at Hansen Dam Equestrian Center.
MOLLY
Molly is not only one of Special Spirit's riders, but a volunteer as well. She helps leading the horses as well as exercises them. Molly has been riding most of her life and spends many days of the week on the ranch.
TYLER
Tyler is an award winning rider that has been riding and training with Special Spirit for the last year. His first lesson was in June of 2009 and he loved every minute of it. Tyler has shown a natural ability to ride horses. He won two first place awards out of three categories, at the Kiwanis Horse Show this past September, after just 12 lessons. Tyler is thrilled to be able to represent and ride with Special Spirit.
Andy
Andy loves coming out to Moonshadow Ranch to ride horses and feed them apples. He came to Special Spirit in the spring of 2010, and loves to ride Tina, especially on trail rides. He is a natural rider, who feels at home with all the animals on the ranch. After riding, Andy insists on picking a lemon to eat on the way home.
Boris
Boris has been coming to Special Spirit to ride for several months now. He is a very talkative, enthusiastic boy, who makes all hearts melt when he enters the ranch. Boris loves to ride Murphy, a dark brown welsh pony. Boris loves doing his exercises and is getting really good at steering, and most of all he loves trotting. He can stand up in the posting position, and his balance has improved and his muscles are getting stronger, thanks to riding. After riding he insists that all horses get carrots, and that is when he gets to drive the Kawasaki Mule.
MEGHAN
Meghan and her mom Cheryl board their horse Clark at the ranch, and she is one of Special Spirit's talented riders as well.
